Gameplay Formats: Strategy and By Downs

HonkyTonk NFT lets managers lead their adorable Monsters to gridiron glory in two exciting formats, blending American Football action with a honky-tonk vibe.  

• Strategy Format: 

  • Build a Roster of up to 50 Monsters, forming your ultimate club. 

  • Create Squads—teams of 11 Monsters in Offensive, Defensive, or Special roles—to fill your Roster. 

  • Each Roster needs at least one Squad of each type to compete. 

  • Matches play out instantly, delivering quick results and game highlights.  

• By Down Format:

  • Inspired by American Football’s downs, this turn-based mode lets managers strategically realign their Roster and Squads each turn. Position your 11-Monster Squads, choose plays, and set offensive or defensive moves, then lock in your strategy by hitting “GO”.

  • First, set up your Roster and Squads, then face off in turn-based matches inspired by football’s downs. 

  • Both Managers simultaneously position their Monsters by changing the active Squad and choose moves. 

  • Pick match timers (1, 2, 3 or more minutes, with optional +1, +2, +3 or more seconds per turn) for strategic, fast-paced matches.  Win matches to boost your NFTs’ stats, climb the ranks, and earn in-game rewards in our player-owned economy!
